Pub 819 has officially announced the opening of their newly re-branded and remodeled bar and restaurant in Hopkins, Minnesota. Located at 819 Mainstreet in Hopkins, MN Pub 819 looks forward to creating new memories in their space while maintaining the heritage of the original Hopkins Tavern.
Wilkus Architects provided design services that helped create a fresh start within a historic space. The largest change implemented is the addition of a kitchen in the back of the space. From here, chef Joe Wuestenhagen and his team are able to kick out amazing burgers and other fare.
The floor plan was also opened up allowing for expansion of the large, centrally located bar. This bar becomes the focus of the overall space. The material palette was also updated and highlighted with new light fixtures throughout the space. Finally, the exterior facade was updated with new signage and the addition of rolling overhead doors for those warm summer days. In the few short months Pub 819 has been open, the bar and restaurant has caught some attention.
The team at Wilkus Architects is proud of the work done at Pub 819. It was a great transformation and the success of the Pub is already perceivable. Not only is it a great space with great offerings, Pub 819 is also our neighbor! The #WilkusRelocation project is well underway and coming Spring of 2015, Wilkus Architects will have its office one block north of Pub 819. It's not exactly "Cheers," but we're excited to have a great place close by where everyone knows our names.
