Project Manager
Full Time / Permanent - $82,500-$100,000 /yr
Wilkus Architects is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team in Hopkins, Minnesota.
Founded in 1990, Wilkus Architects is a full-service architectural firm with projects completed in 49 states. We specialize in restaurant, retail, healthcare, office, and senior housing design, and we are known for strong client relationships, technical expertise, and a collaborative approach to delivering high-quality work.

Position Summary
The Project Manager leads multiple projects through all phases of design and construction, ensuring quality, efficiency, and financial success. This role serves as a primary client contact, coordinates internal and external teams, and provides leadership, accountability, and mentorship to project staff.
Core Responsibilities
Serve as the primary client contact and manage communication, expectations, and deliverables
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors
Lead multiple concurrent projects through all phases of design and construction
Coordinate workflow between internal teams, consultants, and clients to support successful project delivery
Develop proposals and contracts, review consultant proposals, establish fees, and oversee
invoices and additional services
Manage project financial performance, including budgets, fee allocation, scope changes, and schedule impacts
Maintain project schedules, deadlines, and team priorities
Lead project meetings, document decisions, and track action items
Conduct critical drawing reviews to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness
Integrate client standards and design criteria into construction documents
Oversee multi-jurisdictional project implementation and prototype adaptation to local codes and conditions
Manage construction administration to maintain design intent, quality, code compliance, and client satisfaction
Supervise, mentor, and support project team members through feedback, accountability, and professional development
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or technical degree in Architecture, Drafting, or related field preferred
10+ years of professional architectural experience, including team leadership and successful project delivery
Proficiency in Revit, BIM coordination, and AutoCAD
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and project management software
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Thorough knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, and multi-state code coordination
Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and profitability
Ability to travel to job sites and client meetings as needed
