Project Summary
Wilkus Architects has served as a long-term design partner to Village Medical, acting as the architectural design arm for the brand’s national expansion. Over the course of this partnership, our team has completed 500+ Village Medical locations nationwide, including clinics embedded within Walgreens retail environments as well as ground-up new construction facilities.
Project scopes have ranged from 2,000 to 30,000 square feet, spanning urban, suburban, and mixed-use contexts across the country. Wilkus Architects led the development of Village Medical’s brand standards, prototype designs, and rollout strategy, creating a flexible yet consistent system that could be efficiently deployed at scale while adapting to varying site conditions, local codes, and operational needs.
The design approach emphasizes patient comfort, clarity, and efficiency; balancing a warm, approachable environment with highly functional clinical workflows. Our work supported Village Medical’s mission to strengthen the patient-provider relationship through spaces that feel welcoming, intuitive, and community-focused, while meeting the rigorous demands of modern healthcare delivery.
