Margie’s Kitchen + Cocktail has worked closely with Wilkus Architects to create this family friendly restaurant and bar that will also leave you visually stunned. This specialized design is the result of cohesive collaboration and brilliant vision. Inside you will find a gorgeous bar, brick-oven pizza, comfortable booths and even a community room with a partition wall. We are sure this will be your new favorite hangout spot!

The History

“My Grandma Marge is the inspiration behind Margie's Kitchen. Marge owned and operated Lyle's Cafe in Winthrop, MN for 38 years. She purchased the cafe with her husband, Lyle, in 1950,

and continued to run the cafe as a single mother of five after his early death in 1969.

Beyond the home cooking and pies she made Lyle's Cafe famous for, Marge made the Cafe the center of her community. Whether you were were just passing through town or lived around the corner, everyone was always welcome to grab a seat at her counter. We hope to build on Marge's restaurant legacy and make Margie's a fixture in the Andover community.”

“She still lives at her home in Winthrop with her husband, Earl. She has been amazingly supportive as we have been planning to open Margie's Kitchen & Cocktails. We are excited for our Andover community to meet Margie when we celebrate our grand opening this summer!”

Margie turned 91 this year, and we are so excited to be a partner in bringing this vision to life!
